In August 2007 I met the Bloemsma family in Addis Ababa when I went to pick up Adah Derartu and Anna Mihret. We stayed at the Hilton together and quietly calmed the other just by our presence in another country with children we really didn't know. Laura encouraged me in 2008 to consider older children when we looked into adopting again from Ethiopia. We now have Addis & Mulu because of her encouragement. By the way, all ten of their children are adopted, three girls from Ethiopia.
